This train conveniently connects you to the afternoon session of the tour. From Kameoka Station, choose your transportation: bus, horse-drawn carriage, or taxi to the Hozugawa Rafting boarding point (shared with the traditional boat ride tours).

Afternoon Rafting Options

Arashiyama Tour / Arashiyama Fulfilling Tour (16km Rafting + Fufu no Yu Onsen): (Age 7+)

This tour takes you back to the heart of Arashiyama, passing under the iconic Togetsukyo Bridge. Enjoy the full rafting experience, arriving in Arashiyama around 5:00 pm. Relax and rejuvenate at Fufu no Yu Onsen, a convenient hot spring located right in front of Hankyu Arashiyama Station, before continuing your evening plans. This is the most comprehensive and popular tour, perfect for those who want to experience it all.

Hozukyo Gorge Enjoyment Tour (11km Rafting): (Age 7+)

This shorter tour packs in all the exciting rapids and fun water play areas of the Hozugawa. The tour concludes near Torokko Hozukyo Station, allowing you to hop back on the Torokko Train to Arashiyama. Alternatively, transportation to JR Hozukyo Station can be arranged. Important Note: This tour’s endpoint lacks shower facilities. However, during warmer months, simply drying off with a towel and changing in the provided space might suffice (the river water isn’t saltwater).

Family Course (Age 3+)

Don’t miss out on the fun with little ones! We offer a light rafting experience perfect for families. Take a scenic horse-drawn carriage ride from Torokko Kameoka Station to the boarding point, followed by a gentle 40-minute raft back to the station. This calm section of the river is ideal for introducing young children (age 3+) to the Hozugawa.
